Prices, members and non-members

Who can register online, at what price, and when family discounts apply

Who can register online, and at what price? It all depends on three lesson settings (Online registration, Open to non-members, the price cards) and on a single question: does the person have a membership fee on the lesson's sport and season?

1Who is a “member” for a lesson

For a lesson, a member is a person who has their own membership fee (a subscription of the membership fee type) on the lesson's sport-season. Nothing else counts:

  • a member's child without a membership fee in their own name is a non-member: the family pays the junior membership fee, the parent does not pass theirs on;
  • a membership fee on another sport or another season does not count;
  • any membership fee of the sport-season counts, whatever the name of its subscription type.

A parent is surprised that their child sees the non-member rate? Check that the child does have their membership fee for the lesson's season (member record, subscriptions). Once the membership fee is added, they see the member price.

2Who can register online

NoYes or NoThe lesson is not offered online: only the club registers (Sign up a player).

In addition, the lesson is only offered to people who match its Gender and Age. The age is the one the pupil reaches in the start year of the lesson's season (season start year minus year of birth), as for membership fees. If the date of birth is missing, it is asked for before the lessons are offered and saved in the record.

On the club side, Sign up a player is always possible: a message flags an age or gender outside the criteria, but you decide.

3Which prices are offered

Each price card of the lesson states an Article, a number of Lessons per week, a Price and one or more Subscription. A card without a subscription applies to Non-member (no membership fee): it is the default price.

When registering, the person sees:

  • the active prices of their subscription;
  • and the default prices (no membership fee), except for an item and a number of lessons for which their subscription already has its own active price.

This way, no item disappears: if there is no “Junior” price for the item “Competition 2×”, a junior sees the default price of this item.

Lesson cardsJunior with membership feeNon-member
School 1×: Junior 420.– / default 480.–420.–480.–
School 2×: Junior 780.– / default 880.–780.–880.–
Competition 2×: default 1 200.– only1 200.–1 200.–

To reserve a rate for members, do not give it a default price: only people with the subscription indicated will see it.

4Age ranges of the items

The age ranges entered on an item only serve as a filter: an item whose ranges exclude the pupil's age is not offered. The invoiced amount is always the price on the lesson card, never the item's. See Creating lesson items.

5Family discounts

“Lesson” family discounts are created for the sport-season (Manage family discounts link in the lesson form) and ticked lesson by lesson, in the Family discount section. They are calculated when the invoices are created, and only:

  • if the family members are linked to one another;
  • if the invoice group is created with Group family invoices ticked.

No family discount on an online payment: a registration paid by card or TWINT is invoiced immediately, at full price, on its own invoice. If your club grants family discounts, offer the Type of payment Invoice (or Both, explaining it to the families).

See Manage family discounts and Online payment and invoicing.
